I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Capital One
Interview
Got contacted by a recruiter for late recruiting in the Spring. Had a 1hr first round (behavioral/product case) and 3hr final round (product, design, business analyst). They offer a lot of interview prep material/support, which was nice. The actual interviewers were all very kind and prepared. However, the business analyst case was a bit strange, because it was very quantitative and almost finance-like. My biggest complaint is the poor recruiter communication. They promised fast responses up-front but always took longer to get back. I had other offer deadlines which I was very transparent about from the beginning and they waited until the last moment to ask me extend it, which I thought was very unprofessional.
It was ok, brush up on interview styles like consulting cases, be able to sovle a mckinsy case with ease, and you'll be ok. I messed up on some calculations (although I rectified myself) but wasnt able to land the offer
There was an online assessment followed by the first round which is a mini product case (from one of Capital One's products like Shopping, CC). They provided a lot of preparation material for the case.
You get emailed a case study with questions you must answer during your interview. In that case study you will be given 3-4 Cap1 products that the interviewer will ask you questions about. Focus on what the product is excelling at and the weaknesses and how you can improve the product.
