      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Capco (London, England) in Nov 2020

      Interview

Initial Stage: Online questions Covering: Your motivations, the industry, opportunities for Capco, CV & Cover Letter Stage Two: Video Interview Questions Stage Three: Group Interview (Duration 3hrs) Consisting of a group case study and 3 shorter interviews with Capco employees plus Q&A. Following this I understand that there were a further 2 interviews (1 with HR and 1 with a Partner) unfortunately I was not invited to one of these interviews. Process was generally fine, however I was very disappointed to wait over 3 weeks (the time frame given was 1-2) and I had to chase a few times in order to get any response as to whether I would progress to the next stage and receive feedback on my interview. Had I not chased, I am not sure I would have received an update that I had not progressed to the next phase. Given at this point I had probably invested 5 hours in writing the application and attending interviews plus time practicing of case studies, I did not think that was very impressive. Upon chasing, I did receive feedback, though frankly it was not particularly helpful as it was not made clear to me what I could improve up on in order to get an offer next time around or what other candidates did, said demonstrated that put them ahead of me. Instead I was told I came across well, had good experience etc and when I had asked for specific points of improvement I was told there were none listed but I had not performed as well in the case study exercise. In fairness, excluding the ending part of the process (for me), which left a bad taste in the mouth I felt the interview process was carried out well.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to complete the interview process with Capco for the ATP and apologies that you did not receive your feedback in a timely manner. In the current climate, we have had to adapt our assessment centre process to a full virtual process, where we aim to come back to candidates with feedback within two weeks. Due to some of the changes to our process this year, it is sometimes taking a little longer than usual to get through all of our applications, and I understand your frustration with this. We will take your feedback onboard, and we are always looking for ways to improve our process. With regards to the feedback itself, it is always our aim to give constructive feedback to every applicant. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback, and if you would like to discuss anything further, please do contact Joanne.lee@capco.com who manages the UK recruitment team.

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Capco (Houston, TX) in Oct 2024

      Interview

The interview process consists of three distinct rounds. The first round was a managerial interview, where I was assessed on my ability to manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills. This round focused on understanding my approach to handling challenges, cross-functional team collaboration, and managing client expectations. The second round was a technical interview that delved into my problem-solving abilities and technical expertise. I was asked to solve real-world problems, showcase my proficiency with specific tools and technologies relevant to the role, and demonstrate my coding abilities in a timed environment. This round tested both my theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills. The final round was a behavioral interview, designed to assess my soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Here, I was evaluated on how well I align with the company’s values and culture, as well as my ability to handle workplace scenarios like conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure. I was also given the opportunity to ask questions and further demonstrate my interest in the role and the company.

      Question 1

I was asked to discuss a project I had worked on, including how I broke it down into smaller tasks and the overall outcome of the project.

      Interview

I very recently had an assessment day with Capco which was an experience to say the least. It started with two interviews the first was okay the manager was nice and friendly but the second was not so pleasant. The interviewer did not want to be there and didn't even let me speak. Going onto the case study which was fine and no issues until it came to asking questions as the case study leader laughed at my question. This happened a second time by the same lady in the last Q&A session as she laughed in front of everyone about my question. I am not sure if she thinks she is better than everyone else or something else but if thats the people Capco employee stay far away! I unfortunately didn't get offered the position which is okay, there was a lot of high calibre candidates. The issue comes from being told of this rejection through a no reply email with "We received many qualified applicants and have decided to move ahead with another candidate who we feel is a better match for this particular position" which is the only feedback i got. I think it's appalling that I as a student spend days preparing and applying whilst still carrying out university work to receive a two sentence email of rejection without even an option to apply. I have never had to write such a comment before but I believe everyone should know not to spend time applying!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and attending the Virtual Assessment Centre in April. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and the lack of communication that you feel you have received. We take your feedback on timeframes and communication very seriously and apologise you have not received detailed feedback following the Assessment Centre. We’re sorry that you feel your questions were not acknowledged during the Case Study and Q&A and we will ensure this feedback is addressed internally. If you wish to discuss the matter further, please reach out to our Recruitment Lead, Jo Lee – joanne.lee@capco.com.
