I spent twenty minutes listening to them boast about their great initiatives, only to discover that they don't offer contract employees vacation or health benefits. Very disappointed. Additionally, they're still one of the companies that refuse to post salary information in BC.
I had two interviews in total, both conducted over the phone. The process was very straightforward, with a focus on behavioral and situational questions. I recommend thinking outside the box when discussing the solutions you would offer.
For example, one of the questions was:
"Tell me about a time you had to hire for a hard-to-fill position. How did you approach it? What steps did you take, and what resources did you use?"
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to fill a difficult role. How did you approach it?
Describe a situation where a hiring manager was unhappy with the candidate pipeline. How did you handle it?
Tell me about a time you had to manage multiple open roles at once. How did you prioritize?
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Calgary, AB) in Mar 2013
Interview
Had a brief phone conversation with the Manager about my background/ experience and was than invited in for a face to face interview. We had very in depth conversation about the role and my experience and skill-set.
