      Corporate Services Helpdesk Interview

      Sep 5, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at CIBC (Toronto, ON) in Jun 2016

      Interview

      - know a recruiter who passed on my resume - admin role with 3 months contract with no chance of extension (filling up for someone who's on maternity leave): perfect opportunity for me to get my foot in the door - email sending to all internal clients with specific queries - 1 HR interview and then an interview with the hiring manager - interviews went well: she was trying to see whether I have the email sending and other admin type experience; experiences on talking to clients via email (specifically); - I thought our conversation went great but I was shocked to see that they never contacted me back. I dont know what happened but I guess they found someone better. or it may be that I am a Masters graduate so I was over-qualified.
