I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Box in Feb 2026
Interview
Short screening with HR. Followed by dropdown implementation fix for frontend. Then to implement todo list via React. Last full-stack to implement Cart logic with pseudocode. Interviews around one hour long. And interviewers are pretty chill and ready to help you in the process.

Interview
Had worst experience ever. Extremely frustrating and a huge waste of time. Applied for a Senior Software Engineer role via LinkedIn. Completed three 1-hour interviews (coding, data structures, system design) and received very positive feedback from the recruiter, who said I was the top candidate. Asked me to hold on as she was looking for right fit as 5-6 teams were looking for Senior engineer. Guess what, suddenly all those positions were closed (extremely weird), and I was told they’d contact me for future openings. Months later, when a position opened no one contacted, I had to reach out to the recruiter to get scheduled for final onsite interviews - cultural fit, retrospective and hiring manager. After two weeks, I received an automated rejection email with no explanation, despite clearing all technical interviews.
