I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Box (Austin, TX) in Sep 2018
Interview
First was a phone screen with a recruiter, followed by a call with a manager of another team. Last interview was a marathon on-site 4 hours of interviews + a demo.
The first two were easy and the people were very friendly and knowledgeable.
The on-site interview involved several 30 minute interviews, plus a demo project kick-off. The interviews were scheduled through the 4 hours with no breaks (after asking the recruiter for some time, 10 minutes was added to the schedule but not communicated to any of the interviewers). The "demo" requires you to put together a deck and prep a demo of the product.
Overall the people I interviewed with were for the most part friendly, but the amount of time that is expected of you for this interview is prohibitive, and expecting you to interview through lunch with no break or food was probably not a good sign.
Questions asked were mostly around Implementation experience, how you deal with clients - not very hard, but by the end of the day trust that you'll be tired of answering the same questions.

Question 1
(During the Demo) We want to include a migration of several TB of data during this project, can we include that in the timeline?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Box (New York, NY) in Feb 2022
Interview
Interview process was very well organized and thorough! The recruiter was very timely with her responses - if there was ever a delay, I would email and get a response within the next day.
breakdown:
- initial call with the recruiter
- 30 min call with hiring manager
- four 30 min interviews with the NY team (implementation consultants, managers, etc)
- 45 minute kickoff presentation with 4 team members
the entire team was SO kind and friendly and I was super excited during the whole process! The presentation was definitely very intimidating, but the Box team did a great job of making me feel very comfortable :)
I wish there was more information given for the presentation - an example talk track or more information in a powerpoint would definitely be helpful!

Question 1
why do you want to work for box?
asked questions if I knew what box was
how do you handle multiple projects at once?
This interview process consisted of: recruiter screen, 1-1 call with team member, and 2.5 hour onsite.
The first two conversations are casual in nature, assessing background and fit. The onsite required a presentation to a hypothetical client with a demo of the Box platform.
This role is best suited for those with extensive software implementation experience with strong technical domain knowledge. There was a slight misalignment with what I was told to focus on, and what I was actually tested on.
