      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jul 3, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I recently had my face to face interview in Dallas. Overall the experience was amazing but this whole process was a waste of time. They fly you all the way out to Dallas and make you seem like you have the job but then rip it away from you. I prepared for the interview for MONTHS and I honestly feel like I did an awesome job. I was very nice to everyone, started conversation with everyone, dressed the part, smiled, answered the questions properly, etc. when I got there they checked us in and then we showed them our passport. After heading to the interview room we did a written activity, and then they gave us presentations about the company and we all introduced ourselves. We then did a group activity which was actually kind of fun. They then had two recruiters come to each table and ask us questions one on one. There was two rounds of this. They then did another presentation about the company. It all goes downhill from here…after a recruiter comes into the room and tells us that they have a manager meeting in 30 mins so they are going to start calling us in groups to go down to the shuttle. I was part of the first group that they called. My group went to the shuttle and that was it. We ran into someone from the interview about two hours after at the airport and she told us that after we left they continued the interview and did a reach test, drug test, more questions, and then Offered the job to a lot of people. Kind of shady if you ask me. There was no manager meeting that just means my group did not get the job. I just wish they were honest and pulled everyone aside and told us we did not get the job and explain why and gave us feedback. But instead they lied to us. Very unprofessional if you ask me. This is my first interview with an airline so I wasn’t expecting to get the job but I’m just confused cuz I seriously did everything right. I’m more bothered about how unprofessional they were and how they treated us. I will not be applying for this airline again in the future. I’m glad they showed their true colors. Overall a long and draining process.
