      Flight Attendant Interview

      Apr 11, 2023
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at American Airlines (Dallas, TX) in Sep 2022

      Interview

The process took about 6 weeks in total and this is from date of application to class acceptance. Please make sure that you highlight customer service on your resume and place keywords from the job description. (I do resume writing so just a tip) But be honest, they will conduct a background check later in the process. After the application, you will complete an assessment, again, just be honest with yourself because if you are faking the funk, chances are you wont like the job. Once you are selected for an interview, the first is a video interview. It's just a big zoom call and you are asked an icebreaker and one question. Please, please, please, dress as if you are going to face to face interview and look your best! SMILE TOO! Once you pass the video interview, you will be invited to a F2F. I flew to Dallas FW the day prior to my interview because I chose the earliest interview time provided. (if you choose to do this call the hotels instead of booking online because they have special rates if you are there for AA) MAKE SURE YOU DRESS TO IMPRESS.....wear a suit, no facial jewelry, no colorful attire. ladies wear studs, and if possible, the best shade of red lipstick that you can find. Again, SMILE SMILE SMILE. Be sure to participate is all activities. They make it fun and interactive! We were asked 2 questions each, shown a video and then 2 groups were escorted out. The group that was left were taken to do a reach and jump seat "test". (they just want to see if you are tall enough to reach and slim enough to fit in the jumpseat) You are then placed back in the room and called out 1 by 1 for another interview. If you made it this far please make sure that you start drinking water and lots of it. If successful in your 1 on 1 you will get your CJO and start the background process, mine took 8 business days. Once that's done, you get to choose a class date (note that you may not get the date you choose but I did) After that its off to training and getting those WINGS! Training is intense but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! See you in the skies! P.S please don't be intimidated and think that the process is hard or its impossible, I got hired on my first try!
