I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines in Sep 2013
Interview
I applied online and it took about a month and I received an email to do a video interview. I couldn't do that on my ipad you have to do it with a web cam. Since I was unable to do the video I did a recorded phone interview which was difficult because you're not talking to a live person. A series of recorded questions and you have so long to answer and if you mess up do to nerves you can't erase and do over. I didn't think I would hear from AA since I felt I didn't do well. Several months later I received an email inviting me to go to DFW for a group interview. That process wasn't as nerve racking as I thought it would be. We were divided into groups of 6 and had to do several interactive exercises while the recruiters are watching and grading your every move. Body language, how involved you are etc. then we watched a video on the company and the recruiters answered questions. After that you were called out one by one (you do not want to be called out because that means your going home). Be as out going as possible, ask questions, it get's you noticed, smile a lot. Good luck
