I apply the job online and finish 100 assessment questions and submit my resume. Within few days I received an email and tell me to finish a video interview within 5 days including weekend. There are 6 interview questions. Make sure you are ready to take the interview because you only have one chance to take the video interview and make sure you smile all the time. The first one is asking What do you want to become a flight attendant and what do you know about American Airline's culture. The other questions are What was your best customer service experience? Do you work better individually or as a group? Can you adhere to the no piercing, tattoo, or extreme hair policy? What excites you most about relocating to your base city after completing training? After a few days, I received a call from American Airlines recruiter told me to schedule a face to face interview. The date she offer me is two weeks later and they will provide you the airplane ticket to fly to Dallas and the shuttle to the hotel where they host the interview. When I first go into the place, the recruiters are friendly and bring you to the room with other candidates. I have to provide them my passport and my resume and they will tell you to find a seat. In that time waiting for other candidates to arrive, you have to answer a question which you have to rate them which one is the most important and explain why the one you choose is the most important. When you are finish, be sure you have to talk to other candidates because the recruiters are observing. After all the candidates finish, they will ask every table to work as a group and play a game. You have to find something in common between you and other candidates in your group and something you are different from the other. Also, you have to present it out and let other group to guess who's who. After the game, they will call out names to enter to a different and do a group interview. They will ask two questions and one question you pick from a card. My suggestion is sit straight (don't move around or sit too relax because I know two people whose attended the same group interview with me did this and they didn't get into the one on one interview) In addition, I think don't answer them too long and try to make it short and clear. The 3rd question everyone need to say it out loud and you have to answer them within 30 second. My question was What do you foresee the challenges of being a flight attendant? Once everyone answer all the questions, we have to go back to the original room and they will tell us what's the benefit and training stuff. You can feel free to ask questions. And then they will call out name one by one. What I heard from other candidates who tried the second time, for those who didn't call out name will not get hire. Luckily, I have gone the one on one interview and finger prints after the interview. Few days later, I received an email regarding background check and an offer letter. I think after I have finish the background check, I can go to Dallas training for 6 and a half weeks.
