Not really a great company if you're in the US

      Software engineer
      Former employee
      Washington, DC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

They have competitive salaries and work from home options(2 days a week)

      Cons

They are run out of Canada via the UK and don't seem to want anything other than salesman in the US. They are laying off people with decades of tenure and not letting them say goodbye to the people they are working with. If you are still working in the IT portion of OpenText and they can offshore your job, I'd start looking for something else.

      Cons

Bad management, heavy workload, and constant micromanagement.

Great for work life balance, great pay.

      Cons

      I loved working at OpenText.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Health benefits are ok, but get more expensive every year. Good work life balance.

      Cons

Frequent layoffs to improve bottom line. Annual raises, if any, will not keep up with inflation. If you are caught up in a general RIF, don't ever expect to be rehired. Company will post your job after you are gone and hire a less experienced and much younger person at a much lower salary. CEO too political. CEO talks a good diversity game, but If you are a older employee at a perceived higher salary watch your back. You may be next one out the door.

Pay NEEDS to be better. We don’t care about pizza!

      Customer success manager (csm)
      Current employee
      Broomfield, CO
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great team! Awesome managers! Flex ability to work from home. Decent benefits and PTO.

      Cons

The pay isn’t competitive, in fact most employees are struggling to get by. Commission is paid after each quarter.

      Good work - life balance

      Systems administrator
      Former employee
      Cork
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      work life balance hybrid work

      Cons

salary growth and almost no perks compared to other locally based employers

      My best employer

      Talent acquisition senior manager
      Current employee
      Makati City
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

This has been my longest tenure to date. I'm on my 9th year and counting. Good salary, good work life balance, and overall good environment. Still challenging but reasonable work.

      Cons

No company is perfect, mix of good people and less good. But that's life. I would say nevertheless the environment here has a higher chance of bringing out the good in people. On average less bad co-workers and leaders versus my view of the market.

      Overall Good

      Senior software engineer
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good benefits, decent pay. Still following hybrid model

      Cons

Some managers are really bad. Very bad annual hike.

Not a stable place to work

      Customer success manager
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

If you're smart you can get ahead because they are lacking strategic thinkers. Benefits are decent , and some roles the pay is pretty good.

      Cons

Where to start this company is basically Unicron. It just gobbles up other companies and lays off everyone in it's wake. They lie about where the company is heading, change directions, then lay people off again. They preach diversity and acceptance and pretend to care about their employees but its all a sham. Run away from this place as fast as you can.
