Annette&nbsp;Frawley works in our Law dept. as senior counsel, intellectual property. She says: “I wanted to work for Betty Crocker at the age of nine. I didn’t realize at the time that Betty Crocker&nbsp;was a fictional character, but I knew the products with her name on them meant quality&nbsp;and were quite often present on the table during meals,&nbsp;family holidays, birthdays, etc. I remember the day I told my mom I had been hired at General Mills; she reminded me of what I had said as a kid.&nbsp;My instincts about the company at age nine weren’t wrong. I&nbsp;love&nbsp;working at General Mills with teams and individuals who care so much&nbsp;about each other and the consumers they serve.&nbsp;And who are so passionate about quality, innovation, the environment, engaging with those who&nbsp;choose our products&nbsp;and with those who do not choose our products, the farmers in our supply chain, giving back, making a difference in communities of various shapes and sizes.&nbsp;I love being able to still feel a connection to my farm roots.&nbsp;I am humbled by the caring, talented people I am so lucky to work alongside of each and every day."

General Mills sponsored the 30th Rube Goldberg Machine Contest in Chicago, Illinois, as participants were tasked with developing a complicated way to pour a bowl of cereal. As the task sponsor, we were able to be part of a special award given to the team with the most creative final step in the machine. Caroline Kopplin and Samantha Barnes, both engineers from our plant in Belvidere, Illinois, were invited to help decide the winner. John Wiebold is the vice president of Sustainable Sourcing at General Mills.
