Last week, Audible Australia’s Country Manager, Leanne Cartwright-Bradford, spoke at Advertising Week Australia on the rise of audiobooks and podcasts. With recent data finding Aussies spend 4.5 hours each week commuting, it’s no surprise they’re turning to audiobooks for entertainment and inspiration on-the-go.
Over 60 employee volunteers from our Finance and Insights teams led a number of engaging workshops with students—like Geography Jeopardy and Coding for Kids —and worked to beautify Rafael Hernandez Elementary School in Newark. Cynthia Chu, our Chief Finance Officer, shares that seeing the kids' eyes light up when their robots worked was "very rewarding" and this Audible Cares event was a great opportunity for her large team to connect with each other outside of work.
Over 100 Audible employees volunteered to beautify Newark’s Washington Park and build a multisensory installation.
