Pros

- Great compensation - Assistance with relocation - Company used to subsidize apartment rent

Cons

- I was laid off from this company, because, as they said, the company was having financial troubles. Shortly after firing a lot of people, the company received 150 million from investors. - The engineering managers here are the worst I've ever worked with in my career. People who end up in EM roles don't have the necessary skills and don't bother to get them. The only instances of 1-1 meetings with my EM were to discuss my offboarding from the company after I discovered I was laid off. My EM had poor communication skills and was overly controlling, even in the areas where he didn't have expertise.

Pros

It was a dynamic and interesting place to work before some of the top managers joined the company and rose to power. Work-life balance is great, as goals and targets are not clear, priorities always changing and as a result, there is no motivation to perform well. The company claimed, and the CEO reiterated multiple times, that the IPO would be soon, but it never materialized, and it probably won't happen in the future.

Cons

CEO and CEO-1 are not capable of managing such a complex enterprise. Politics is everywhere, chaos in processes is killing all attempts to build something great, talented people are exiting the company, leaving space for not very bright colleagues to flourish in this toxic environment. The compensation structure is poorly structured and below the market. Several re-orgs didn't bring any feasible results, and the mess between different functions and HQ-Regional teams is still there. Wouldn't recommend this company.
