Growing pains with no end in sight

Pros

The e-team is an impressive roster. New leadership hires are diverse, talented, and kind.

Cons

The company foundation is wobbly, departments are disconnected, and the product hasn’t seen significant improvements in years. Every team is struggling to set and achieve goals independently, and sales is coming out ahead with investment and team growth. The strategy is clear, but the tactics (go upmarket with lots of sales talent) and goals are unrealistic. It feels like working really hard without much to show for it. Being a part of a sales-led company with a stagnant product is a recipe for client and employee churn. While new leadership is impressive, it’s going to take a long time for the visions to gel and come into fruition.

Supportive, engaging, rapidly growing

Pros

This is the most supportive and empathetic team I've ever been a part of. I feel seen, heard, and supported. I was prone to intense stress and imposter syndrome in previous positions, but at WizeHire I feel trusted where I'm at and given the space to grow into my developing skills. Leadership has completely changed my mindset about myself and my accomplishments and I feel more confident and competent than ever. I have developed so much while being here and there's no end in sight :)

Cons

Working from home can be challenging and I've had to adapt and develop routines. That's not unique to WizeHire in this day and age, but the office will never be an option here so it's important to note. Being far from colleagues means forming personal relationships requires more commitment and effort than in an office. I wish there were more opportunities to be around each other. I miss high fives, side-of-the-desk conversations, and lunch meetups. This isn't necessarily a 'con' but: this company is growing and changing *quickly*. New processes are developed and rolled out all the time. I find it exciting, but can be hard to keep track of how other departments are changing. Some core pillars and structures are still being developed as the needs of the business evolve – this is a company where if you see a structural problem there is an opportunity for you to address it yourself. Everyone is very very busy.

A review NOT written by HR

Pros

Benefits do include flexible PTO, great 401K, fully paid medical premiums, lots of time off for paternity, maternity, and medical leave. The employees, not management, are incredibly kind and enjoyable.

Cons

Keep in mind that negative reviews are coming from CURRENT employees who have seen and experienced the changes the company has made in the past year. Wizehire has high standards and is a small team (about 110) so everyone is expected to do much more than we’re paid for. That IS toxic; it's not the way any company should treat their employees. Wizehire used to be a positive, welcoming, and challenging place to work. Now it’s just sad. The pace is too fast, hard work is no longer rewarded, and the leadership only cares about themselves . As a result, long time employees are leaving the company.
