Cons
Based on my personal experience working on the Microsoft account at WPP Production, I would recommend candidates carefully evaluate the specific team and manager before joining. Key observations from my experience: There was no structured standardized training program. Training was conducted in an ad hoc manner without a defined syllabus, checklist, or proper documentation. Some important processes and topics were not covered during training, making it difficult for new employees to gain complete knowledge before handling production work. Post-training support was limited, and obtaining timely guidance from colleagues or leadership was often challenging. I observed inconsistent management practices, including instances where favoritism appeared to influence decision-making and employee treatment. Accountability was not always distributed fairly. In some situations, responsibility for issues involving multiple teams or stakeholders seemed to fall disproportionately on individual contributors. Employees were sometimes expected to remain in the office beyond their scheduled shift, even when they had long daily commutes. Job security was a concern during my tenure. I observed employees being placed on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or laid off with limited prior communication, which created uncertainty within the team. There was significant pressure to meet delivery timelines, even when delays resulted from system issues, tool limitations, or network-related problems outside employees' control. Employee concerns and feedback did not always appear to be acknowledged or addressed effectively. Although the Microsoft client is a globally recognized organization, my experience suggested that the day-to-day work environment depended heavily on the specific team and its management within WPP Production. Overall Recommendation Based on my personal experience, I recommend that candidates thoroughly research the specific team, manager, training process, work culture, and growth opportunities before accepting a role on the Microsoft account at WPP Production. Experiences may vary across different teams, so conducting due diligence beforehand can help set appropriate expectations.
