Pros

- Some great people are still working there, but probably not for long, as many of them are either looking for something better or are being prepped up to be fired - Lots of social and team-building events (BBQ, food trucks, bowling, etc.) - Modern office space - Decent work/life balance, as long as you can draw the line - Flex hours - People can sometimes grow within the company but such cases are vague and rare - Probably more, depending on who is your boss...

Cons

- Higher management promotions not based on skills or performance (or any other obvious merits) - Higher management that is usually never there for you (neverending meetings discussing puppy pictures, and cat videos), unable to make decisions in a timely manner or not sure what is going on altogether, as 'they are under too much stress' after that third vacation abroad for this year - HR staff can literally hip-check you and not notice you were there unless there were other people around (does not apply if you are at a higher position, then you're important to them) - Very relaxed environment, with people standing around chatting all the time. Although this could be awesome and help with your stress levels, more often than not it makes your life hard if a client is waiting for you on the line and you cannot get them answers - 'Oh, this person is no longer working here, we wish them all the best in his/her future endeavors' kind of firings, based on personal grudges rather than actual performance issues

The owners and HR make it a toxic workplace.

Pros

You will have some awesome and positive interactions with colleagues outside of your department (although upper management does not use the term "departments" in an effort to appear like a "flat" organization there ARE departments that are clearly defined and treated very differently). Growing company, several events throughout the year and for some, NOT all, excellent work-life balance (depends on your department).

Cons

Terrible upper management, starting with the cold upper heads and INCOMPETENT HR department. Many firings (high turnover rate) and you do not get to stay, no matter the quality of work, if the boss' wife does not like you. Beware if you're thinking of joining certain teams (Shipping, Marketing, Design...) they have a lot expected from them and poor infrastructure, organization and upper management support.

Pros

Got to meet with many customers, suppliers. Making lots of friendship.

Cons

Unbelievable turnover rate of talented people. If you are doing good and honest work, you will need to have a pass battles for that, some people will call you bad guy.., until they push you OUT of the company and they guard their comfort zone. Many unqualified and incompetent leaders that you can see in one place. And they go ahead with actions, destroys camaraderie, instill gossip, encourage dishonesty, and prevent people from speaking freely.
