      Pros

      1. Competitive Salary: VMware offers competitive salaries and other benefits to its employees. 2. Great Benefits: VMware provides a wide range of benefits, including health and dental insurance, flexible vacation time, and generous retirement contributions. 3. Professional Development: VMware provides employees with the opportunity to grow professionally through mentorship and training programs. 4. Employee Engagement: VMware encourages employee engagement through team-building activities and a culture of open communication. 5. Corporate Culture: VMware has a supportive culture that encourages collaboration and innovation. 6. Global Presence: VMware has a large, international presence with offices around the world. 7. Work/Life Balance: VMware understands the importance of maintaining a work/life balance and offers flexible work arrangements for its employees.

      Cons

      1. High Workload: With so much going on and so many projects and initiatives, it can be hard to keep up with the workload. 2. Long Hours: This is especially true for those in more senior positions. Long hours are expected and it can be hard to balance work and personal life. 3. Limited Career Growth Opportunities: While there may be some room for promotion within certain departments, there may not be much opportunity for career growth if you're in a specialized role. 4. Pressure to Perform: There is a certain level of performance expected from employees, and there is a lot of pressure to meet those expectations. 5. Limited Resources: With limited resources, it can be difficult to get things done quickly or efficiently.

Fake Reviews, Poor Management, Outdated Products and Stratagy

Mar 7, 2023 - Sales in Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Not much left at this point, but for what its worth: Still above average pay. Work from Home in some cases. Still lots of intelligent people left in the team.

      Cons

Management is not transparent. No sense of direction, all procedures and guidelines are out the window. Everyone is trying to just sell something at all costs, even if by lying to the customers. Cant hide the fact that we are not who we were or who we say we are. Lots of marketing and talk around inclusion and equality but in practice, certain people and groups are given priority over others.

      Stable company with decent culture

      Mar 16, 2023 - Software Engineer ( Senior MTS)
      Recommend
      CEO Approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

Stable with decent pay and not as many layoffs as other places. Good personal culture with no office politics or toxic superiors, generally polite, helpful and straight-forward people around.

      Cons

Work is not motivating, and often, even senior engineers and managers get called to do book-keeping works in coding and testing taking up most of their daily routine. Fewer stimulating/intellectual projects to work on, and most of it is maintenance.
