You most likely have to work graveyard hours. Similar to transit, the employee shuttles either start really early or end really late. The salary is lower than transit operators and there are no benefits. There is no union. While the routes are easy, it can get really boring driving the same 15-minute loop over and over for 30+ hours a week. The shuttles are, on average, maintained to a lower standard than transit buses. As a small company, opportunities for advancement are limited. While employee passengers are better behaved than the general public, some of them can be rude and they still complain a lot about things outside of your control. For instance, they might show up late, and they are on the verge of being late for work, and they will take out their frustrations out on you and expect you to drive fast or leave a stop early to get them to work on time.
