I honestly don't know where to begin. Racist hiring policies and practices. Management is not in it for education, but rather money and they make that very, very clear. Lack of curriculum and professional teachers. Poor staff morale, due to management. HR is incompetent and aids accounting in cheating staff of final pay, taxes and pension plans. An extremely high turn over of teachers, and teachers on sick leave frequently, meaning that remaining teachers have to pick up their slack with working extra hours and classes. The UCSI campus in Subang does not feel like a school at all ... it's dingy, old, dirty and cramped. Lack of resources for teachers. Teachers are often scolded for making too many photocopies. School's internet often does not work. Not enough technological resources for teachers and you must provide your own laptop and smartphone and use it for work at the school, as per the contract. So few teaching resources at the school that teachers have had to bring in their own (ie., textbooks, sports equipment) and are not reimbursed by the school. Working hours are much longer than many other international schools in Malaysia. Principal has very little regard for the teachers and instead of firing those who she doesn't see eye to eye with, she makes their lives hell ... until they quit (otherwise it would cost the school money to fire teachers.) Salary isn't competitive. No bonus at the end of the contract. Promised holidays as per the school calendar were shortened with little warning by principal, meanwhile teachers had booked flights and made holiday plans. I could on, but I think I've given a good hint of what to expect from this school. Avoid at all costs.
