Pros

At home? I’m not sure

Cons

I’ll start by saying, I enjoyed working at Tivly in the beginning. It felt like an easy going job during training and right after. Training honestly went really good with me.. I had trainers who actually cared about the information we received. And they had plenty of hands on training which helped after training. I will say… after training that’s when I experienced the mental headache starting to settle in. I have experienced supervisors asking you to do things during the call that you were not told is a requirement during training. I was also made aware during training we could step away for up to 10 minutes how every many times needed because of the micromanagement of breaks. Then after training if you step away you might get a message stating your unscheduled breaks are considered “Call Avoidance” it’s very contradicting because this was not relayed during training. Also, the calls back to back can be very draining… if you do happen to get a break maybe because the que is low at the moment, your supervisor will ask you to refresh and message you back to back just to make sure calls are coming in. They expect you to respond to emails and direct messages promptly while at the same time taking calls back to back. After training for 15 days they put you in nesting for 90 days, the entire 90 days period you are scheduled multiple meetings every week and expected to be there promptly as well, not to mention there are no grace periods, not for lunch, breaks, regular clock ins. It can be very overwhelming to deal with this everyday. And on top of all of this, the pay is very low for the expectation required during work. Now, time to talk about the actual work itself; More than 50% of the customers you encounter on a duly basis are either confused or upset, and this is of course taken out on you. This is not really an issue if it were on rare occasion but it can be very overwhelming and draining dealing with this back to back on a daily basis re explaining the company and de-escalating calls. You not only have to deal with frustrated irate customers you have to 90 percent of the time transfer them to a licensed insurance agent. When speaking with the licensed insurance agent you have to relay information that you have already gathered, very time consuming. At times the Licensed Agent will ask questions that are not necessary just making your job that more difficult. These agent can very rude as well, if the insurance company does not accept the customers business you have to KEEP transferring to other companies. This entire process if draining.
