Nothing really there are no cons
Tepperman's strives to provide a great working environment for all our employees. A number of our employees commenced their careers as part-time students and have continued to grow and develop within the company, with some even gaining their permanent residency status. Cons
Poorly managed, managers will deflect their mistakes and not listen even if it will fix their problem. They talk down to the staff

Used to be better but recently the only goal seems to be profit at all costs

There used to be positives - the Company took care of its workers during the pandemic.
Cons
No work-life balance Continous expectations to do more with no increase in pay Poor benefits package Recently they announced that they would give the workers paid sick time. What was announced was minimal amount of days with no plan or coverage once the days are up. They keep asking workers to do more but there is no appreciation and once you are sick, I guess you are on your own. But, when they need you to put in additional time and work that is taken as expected

Really enjoyable Retailer to work for

Having worked for multiple retail organizations, my experience with Tepperman's has been fantastic. For over 6 years I've been able to work in an environment that is always challenging yet rewarding. The company places a high degree of trust onto it's Managers and allows them to make decisions that align with their mission statement, "when we do it right, they will come back". During the pandemic, Tepperman's demonstrated nothing but care for their employees, including closing locations before it was mandated, and off cycle pay's to help bridge the store closures. This was incredible as most companies tried to cut or save money, Tepperman's first concern was taking care of their people. Other pro's would be their sustainability, charity work, and fantastic pay structure.
Cons
The downsides of the job are the same as any retailer. Tepperman's does not really have their own flaws, simply retail hours, working holidays, etc. But that's to be expected with the industry.

Not the worst place to work

1-Some down time when work is slow

1- The work wasn’t bad but you should expect lots of customer interaction both in person and over the phone. 2- The hours and pay are not great

Pros
- very strong commission structure - exceptional salesperson pay - understanding culture (illness, time away from work, etc) - strong management pay scale
Cons
- management roles are in abundance with little responsibilities - Training - training manager reluctant to train employees in person. Doesn't know how to use POS system, in store management to train. No real training provided. - reverse model (stores work for home office). - reserved mindset, specifically with change and/or growth - decisions for the organization are made based on the impact of unionized retail employees, not on needs of the business
