Fish rotten from the head

Pros

Free boxing classes. Tribe members and instructors maketh the brand.

Cons

1. Touts all the bells and whistles but lack clear direction. You want to "hire and develop the best"? Then you better be leading by example and bloody well perform. When a crisis hits the fan, a particular person was nowhere to be found until hours later. If you wanted a business in namesake but not run it, perhaps it's best to stay at home and enjoy your trust fund. 2. Management also cares very little for its employees unless they like them. They'll talk about how much they value employees during Town Hall meetings, but in actuality, THEY. DO. NOT. CARE. Actions speak louder than words. The favourites will get preferential treatment, often putting them in light-duty tasks or get free passes for mistakes, and if they don't like you, be ready to stick out like a sore thumb! You'll also be scrutinised heavily even if you're doing something right. 3. There's also a toxic and paranoia culture: if you aren't with us, you're against us. When you try to provide advice, it'll be received as "you are against us". 4. It's also quite laughable to see the management pushed out a campaign promoting mental wellness as quick cash grabs but failed to understand that destigmatising mental health starts at the top. Employees are not contractually obligated to work during off days/weekends/after work hours and if they do, it's at their discretion and goodwill, but it's never appreciated unless you're on their favourite list. It further manifested into bad routines, constant ad-hoc work and poor work-life balance. Some of you complained about being overworked but do nothing except further encouraging these bad behaviours to take place.

One of the worst working experiences

Pros

Free boxing classes, casual dress code, music during working hours, as well as discounted TRIBE merchandise. Pros are pretty materialistic and definitely do not outweigh the cons.

Cons

Where do I start? One of the WORST management teams I've ever encountered. Boss is a child of nepotism so naturally, he doesn't care about the wellbeing of his employees. Neither does HR. They have absolutely NO regard for their employee's off days and you'll be forced to work even during the weekends. More often than not, you'll even be required to work and/or attend meetings during the days you take leave. Overworked and underpaid without even an OUNCE of appreciation. Workplace environment was also super toxic as there were a lot of politics going on, mainly caused by the upper management. Couldn't trust anyone at all during my time there.

Pros

Fun, exciting atmosphere. You tend to not realise the hours go by. If upbeat music is your thing, this is the place for you. Credits for boxing classes is pretty great, and instructors are very friendly and always engage in conversation.

Cons

1. Pay is not as high compared to other studios, especially since you have to pay for parking which is equivalent to about an hour's worth of work. And if you try to park on the roadside, you get summons which can go up to RM 150. 2. Favouritism really plays a big role in your workload. I'm not Chinese-speaking so when supervisors/higher ups are having a chat with the other FOH in Mandarin, I'm expected to be doing all the work for that duration. Or sometimes the FOH will chill outside the studio with the higher ups and will avoid cleaning gloves, which was the most taxing part of the job. When the FOH in question is close to a supervisor, their lack of contribution to the job at hand gets largely overlooked and I've witnessed this multiple times.
