Sports direct was a great place to work in terms of work and life balance. Pay was great and offered a lot of learning experience to grow as a developer.

Cons

Some of the management lack any knowledge of coding which would at times make things difficult.

Lots of reedom to explore new frameworks and technologies, knowledgable co-workers, and fun projects related to an interesting subject matter.

Cons

High stress projects that jump from deadline to deadline. Each deadline is seemingly more impossible than the next, occasionally leading to the creation of technical debt in order for projects to meet deadlines.
