Pros

Cool benefit system and good product.

Cons

I joined Spacelift to work on their website. We started off with a project of full website redesign with a very short deadline. After successfully launching new website, I was invited to HR call where I heard that they've gathered a long list of negative things about me from like 5-6 people (even though I worked closely just with 3). I didn't get an opportunity to hear a full list so they've picked some things out and let me defend. I didn't feel respected or heard during the call, they didn't want to comment things which went wrong from their side. I also felt provoked to quit, but I didn't want to (I just had a project retrospective with a team where we've spoke that 80% of things which went wrong were due to the deadline, I also just discussed my next responsibilities and tasks, I simply wanted to stay and see how it is), so I heard that there was an "internal investigation" and they want to stop working with me immediately. Minute later I was blocked on all tools including slack, I didn't have a chance to say goodbye or sorry if I actually offended anyone. Not cool.

Pros

they will offer you a great salary - but then don't ever expect a raise, remote work

Cons

extremely toxic culture, very chaotic management, people in leading positions are not qualified enough to lead teams and make strategic decisions, absolute lack of culture and interest in people, focus only on money, people are fired every month

Company lacks leadership and transparency. The culture is rather declining

Pros

- Very good software, the engineering team cares about delivering quality upgrades - Depending on the role, the compensation package can be quite good - All remote first culture (if you like that) - Good industry to be in, the IaC space is steadily growing - The product is well perceived by Platform Engineers and DevOps experts - Investing in internal tools to make employee job easier

Cons

- Company culture is declining, recently there have been several layoff offs without any reasoning - During monthly company calls people aren't asking many questions. Mainly leadership is presenting - It feels like c-suite is only money driven, lacks in vision to become market leader in the IaC space - 100+ employees and there isn't any employee program for growth - Due to lack of growth and not reaching targets, there is a lot of pressure on marketing and sales - Employee benefits were cut off - no personal insurance, no budget for office equipment, nor open office rental possibilities - Leadership doesn't know how to motivate employees - Inexperienced GTM team
