Pros

The only good thing about Secureframe is work from home. That is it. Everything else is a complete disaster. **I genuinely wish Glassdoor allowed negative stars because even one star is far too generous, Also**

Cons

From day one, even week one, you are expected to perform at full speed with no real ramp-up. If you do not immediately contribute at an unrealistic level, you are labeled a low performer. I personally went through a significant personal loss during my time here. Despite this, after only eight weeks total, with just two weeks of reduced performance, I was laid off. Why even hire people if you are going to throw them away instantly? I went through four technical interviews including assessments plus two managerial rounds. Six rounds. Weeks of preparation, time, and energy. And after all that, I was fired within eight weeks. They lie about work life balance. They say nobody works after 5, but the workload is insane and the expectations are never ending. PST timezone completely dominates everything, so if you are not in that zone, good luck having a life. You are expected to always be available, always stressed, always online. The culture is deeply unhealthy. Favoritism and cliques drive decisions rather than merit. People are fired frequently, creating constant fear and instability. Team leads and managers are highly inexperienced and often act emotionally rather than professionally. The workplace is filled with negativity and apathy. Instead of collaboration, people pull each other down. During my short tenure, the number of different managers I reported to was staggering, which clearly reflects internal chaos and high turnover. The 4.5 star rating is a joke. It is clearly padded by HR and leadership. Do not believe it. Talk to former employees if you want the truth. This is not a startup dream. It is constant stress, fear, and instability. Leadership is egotistical, insecure, and refuses to grow. Rage firings are normal. Quiet quitting is everywhere. Unless this is your absolute last option to survive financially, avoid Secureframe. Six interviews just to be discarded in weeks. This is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. Any negative feedback is immediately dismissed and blamed on “competitors,” instead of being taken seriously. It is easier for leadership to invent enemies than to accept responsibility. This defensive behavior only highlights how insecure and disconnected leadership is from reality. If a review is positive, it is accepted. If it is negative, it is labeled fake. That says everything.

There have been no senior software engineers let go in a long time. We can only conclude this review is from a competitor.

Pros

cool teammates on the sales team. everyone was welcoming and it was a good environment to learn/grow if you're new to a closing role

Cons

where to start... all the AEs are severely underpaid. total comp is well below industry standards across the nation, and is 40% less than competitors (drata, vanta). quota is extremely high, and absolutely unattainable (around a 5% attainment rate across the entire team). to add insult to injury, leadership has priced the platform at a premium. keep in mind there is nothing special about this product compared to the competitors in the space - everyone does the same thing and every customer will get their certifications at the end of the day. for some reason, leadership has the notion that they're able to demand a 60% premium over every single competitor in the market. needless to say, this does not help with quota attainment at all, and even if you do get lucky to close a single deal in a month, you have to significantly discount the deal. commission rates are terrible as well, so you're essentially living off your base, which is nothing to begin with. leadership does not seem to understand that without a legitimate PRODUCT differentiator, you cannot ask someone to spend significantly more money for the same services. to make matters worse, the supporting cast is nearly non existent: SDRs don't get meetings, marketing cut back spending (which was maybe 90% of sourced deals), and leadership does not budge on quota/product pricing/commission rates. you're on an island here, stay away
