Pros
Very dedicated people but caught up in an extreme way of thinking. They really care about helping refugees and changing the narrative but you can only enjoy this if you can put up with the toxic internal culture.
Cons
I had a really bad experience working here and from speaking to others since I know I’m not the only one. From the outside they appear to be an incredible place to work but it’s a toxic environment that will challenge anyone’s mental health. This isn’t volunteering, it’s a full time job with no pay where you’re extremely overworked. There is little to no free time, you work 7 days a week and very late hours, there’s a tonne of confrontation all the time and even when you’re not part of it you’re surrounded by it. Overall there is very little care about your wellbeing and the culture is very difficult to be part of. Please find another NGO to volunteer at.
