The team at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP is the definition of professional. From the heads of the law firm to my counterparts, everyone that I have had the pleasure of working with has been extremely friendly and respectful. One of the biggest pros is that management genuinely trusts in your work. My managers continue to be incredibly supportive and have allowed me to lead more than a dozen marketing initiatives. In addition to trust, the firm places a significant focus on maintaining a healthy work-life balance since most people work remotely. While some projects lead to longer days and late nights, my managers have encouraged me to log off earlier the next day to ensure that I have an adequate amount of time to recharge. Outside of the office, Samfiru Tumarkin LLP is always looking for ways to celebrate staff. Whether it's a summer party at a vineyard or a classy holiday soiree at a banquet hall, the firm knows how to make its employees feel special and appreciated.

No cons to share! This is exactly the job that I have been looking for. Passing my resume along to the firm's HR team was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Pros

This is the best law firm I have worked at to date. The previous firms I worked for would have you filing pleadings on the limitation date. This does not happen here. There are NO RUSH TASKS. The previous firms provide little to no training. They literally sit you at a desk to sink or swim. At ST, I was given 2 months of training while helping other assistants with their tasks who would check my work to make sure I have it right. I sleep well every night and wake up every morning content that I know what I'm doing and my completed tasks were done properly and efficiently thanks to the training and support provided. ALL the staff work together provide answers to yours questions and are the most helpful and approachable people I have worked with to date. The salary is significantly higher than the other firms I have worked for and they are very generous in rewarding your accomplishments.

I have yet to find any cons working at ST. We constantly have meetings about making the assistant's tasks easier and more efficient to accomplish.

The people are absolutely amazing! A lot of the staff work from home most of the time and it is something I truly appreciate. Leadership steered us through the pandemic to be even more successful than before. I love working at a place that is growing and expanding both in terms of staff and locations. Also, the firm does a wonderful job of identifying internal talent to promote to different roles when available. My compensation is amazing and the benefits offered are better than anything I’ve had in my career. I also appreciate that all the staff are approachable. This is led by example from the management team. You are always able to go to someone to ask for help or bring up an issue. Work/Life balance is important at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP. I’m very fortunate to be working here.

I have no negatives to say. Even though the majority of staff work remotely, the firm still makes a point to have events, both in person and virtual, to make sure staff can have fun as well.

The people at this firm are truly amazing! I've worked at Samfiru Tumarkin for almost two years, and I absolutely love it. I came from a large law firm where I felt I was just a number - to Samfiru Tumarkin, where I feel like family. The lawyers I support are amazing. The other assistants are friendly and easy to get a long with. There is no office drama (which is refreshing). My training was extremely thorough and I've always had support if there was something I didn't know. HR is readily available if you need anything, and always easy to talk to. I also love working from home. I cannot recommend this firm enough.

I personally do not have any. The firm is busy, as are most law firms, but there are supports in place if you're ever overwhelmed. However, I've personally never needed to reach out for extra support.

My experience with the firm has been highly positive. Fantastic place to work, great professional lawyers practicing Employment Law and Personal Injury & Disability Law. The Partners, Management and Senior Associates within the firm help you to grow with a supportive environment and they have excellent technology in place. Both lawyers and co-workers are friendly and approachable which makes you feel like you are part of a family driven environment that makes me feel very comfortable working here. During my long tenure with this firm I have enjoyed my work, but most importantly learned so much from fabulous Employment lawyers and co-workers. Great social events, friendly culture and their HR team takes care of their employees’ needs very graciously. If you are someone who takes pride in providing excellent work you will do well here which is really valued and appreciated.

My experience with this firm has been nothing but positive . The firm has always been extremely accommodating and understanding of any needs or issues that arise and have always taken the time to check in and see how you are doing. This firm constantly works with it's employees to gain valuable feedback on how they can offer support to employees in their role. In my experience there has been room for growth within the company if you express your desire. The firm has great staff and is effective in finding ways to make everyone feel valued and included (i.e., game nights, holiday parties, book clubs etc.). If you're looking for a company that cares about it's employees, has a reasonable work and personal life balance, and a fair salary, this is the firm to work for!

I have worked at many other law firms. I have never worked at a place like Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, the management, HR and Legal Practice Coordinators, are truly amazing individuals. I have always been treated with respect, fairness and above all with love and care. I truly feel like I am part of the family here, and have felt the love from day one. All questions are always answered, help is always a finger away. Performance reviews have always been positive and amazing. My overall experience at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, has been the utmost rewarding, and comforting place. I have always been praised at my hard work, the lawyers I have worked for and currently work for have always handled our working relationship with grace and respect. Way to go Samfiru Tumarkin LLP!
