I have been working at SSW full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Amazing staff, working with the latest technologies and generally smashing all client projects all champions. It's probably one of the best companies that give you personal and professional growth. The company also allows you to build your own image through SSW TV and user group presentations. All of the presenters are amazing!

    Cons

Internal work can be tedious and out of focus. Being on the bench can frustrating and getting a client gives you the opportunity to relax a bit. Calling CEO can mean extra unexpected work which causes most of the people to avoid calling him unless necessary.

I have been working at SSW full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This is an awesome company if you like: - Variety in your work - Working with the best new tech - Learning new languages & frameworks on company time - Community - Learning to present & grow your profile - Working with the best developers - Learning and teaching best practice - Our Dev space is amazing with designated areas, stand up sit down desks, quiet space etc SSW is a fun place to work, we are tight nit, supportive and socialise outside of work. We play board games (consider it an initiation) at lunch and on Fridays we try to all work out of the office to re-connect collaborate and enjoy the atmosphere a little more.

    Cons

    - The parking in Neutral Bay can be a bit tricky - all day parking is about 10 mins walk - The Online Rules look like a lot, but they are actually an amazing resource. We update them when we can and encourage feedback. If you don't know something you can look it up which is so useful! If you use them with the right attitude they are definitely your friend! Rules are meant to be broken.

Some cryptic talk/email/message from CEO which I find difficult to comprehend. Scrum doesn't work for operational/reactive task which made some individuals point of view that management doing micro management.
