Pros

Some colleagues were great to work with, and I appreciated the opportunities to learn new skills and take on various projects.

Cons

I ultimately chose to leave the company due to ongoing challenges with professionalism and communication within the accounting department. One team member in particular contributed to a tense and unproductive work environment that affected collaboration across departments. He was often rude, dismissive, and uncooperative with coworkers, vendors, and even customers. His behavior was frequently problematic, and he often blamed others for mistakes he himself started. His performance was subpar, as he consistently left tasks incomplete, causing unnecessary delays. More concerning was his abusive language, including racist, sexist comments, and violent threats. There were repeated issues with incomplete tasks, delays in payments, and communication breakdowns that negatively impacted vendor and customer relationships. Despite multiple concerns raised by team members, these behaviors persisted and seemed to go largely unaddressed by leadership. What was most disheartening was the lack of response from management. Rather than fostering accountability and teamwork, the situation led to low morale and mistrust among colleagues. I believe with more proactive leadership and a stronger emphasis on professional standards, the company could greatly improve the work culture and overall team effectiveness.
