Pros

- Working with new XR headsets - Some fun colleagues especially on the art side - Battlemarked/Demeo is a nice game to work on (although the main people behind it are gone)

Cons

- No good game project and only b2b projects left that are barely games - Existing games are very generic and the main game designers have all left during the past years - Extremely toxic and incompetent management, Both executive team and middle managers - Not a single competent line manager (technical lead) or producer which causes them to back stab each other and colleagues to keep their positions. Most of them also have no industry experience except in Resolution Games - Amount of politics played for such a small number of people is crazy - CCO and CEO are extremely hard to work with and at the same time incompetent. It doesn't help at all that they micromanage every project too very poorly) - Roles are given based on nepotism and sucking up to the CEO - Career path is completely non-existent - Nearly all good talent has left and the rest is desperately looking to leave - You will very soon notice that so many people in their roles are old friends with the CEO - WFH cancelled out of nowhere on the CEO's whim alongside all other benefits - Two rounds of layoffs until now and still nothing looks better financially I would say only join if you have absolutely no other choice and even then plan for leaving asap

Pros

- Great people, made lifelong friends here. - Variety of work that is also not super different. - For me was good salary. - I will forever be grateful for this, excellent at relocating, they genuinely gave me the opportunity of a life time. - Great understanding and flexibility when to comes to work/life balance, I felt like I was human here.

Cons

- Poor management, not much real growth. - Did two layoffs in the last 2 years. - Inexperienced (i.e. only worked at RG or one more place shortly) people in leading positions.

Pros

- The people - the ones on the floor that actually make the games - are generally really lovely and fun people to work with. - I found that I could have a large impact on the games we were making. - I received plenty of accommodation to be able to go to therapy and take time off for mental health issues.

Cons

- I have no idea what the CEO actually does. He's rarely seen, except when he randomly aggressively decides to micromanage some part of a project. - I was bounced around between line managers a lot. - Management is very poor at taking criticism, and prefers to tone down issues and get rid of those who raise them. - There are major trust issues within the company; management seems almost completely disconnected from the game teams. - When I was experiencing burnout, instead of HR checking in on me or the team in general, I was given disciplinary action. - There is nepotism in the management group; there are individuals who should not have their titles.
