1. Job Security and "Hire and Fire" Culture: The company operates under a clear "Hire and Fire" culture, resulting in zero job security for employees on the bench. There is a severe lack of clear communication and transparency regarding the bench policy.
2.Forced Resignation/No Redeployment: The unstated policy seems to be that once an employee is off-boarded from a client project, minimal to zero internal opportunities (client interviews) are provided. In my case, I was forced to resign after being placed on the bench, despite not being given any significant chance to interview for new client roles. This signals that employees are effectively expected to immediately begin looking for external roles after a project ends.
3.Lack of Internal Management Support: Once an employee is placed on a client project, internal support essentially vanishes. The hardest thing is simply reaching your internal manager, and I experienced zero support while onboarded with the client.
4.Negative Career Impact: In my specific case, the relationship between the client and programming.com was severely dysfunctional, which ultimately negatively affected my career trajectory.
