The company has downgraded to nothing more than a hoax

Pros

Had descent culture and good teammates, salary structure was also descent

Cons

The company fraudulently flaunts growth data which is incorrect. The company has massive debt and many past employees are still owed months of salaries. Many vendors are owed millions as well. Yet, the company flaunts being the fastest growing healthcare startup and consistently shares stories of growth which are incorrect. The business has always been loss-making and due to lack of scalability is unsustainable. They speak about being tech-enabled and delivering healthcare through tech solutions but this extends to nothing more than video calls with doctors over WhatsApp. Due to the lack of scalability and being physically limited by it's infrastructure, the company's business model does not fit that of a startup. Rather, it is a loss making business with high liabilities, with no way to grow other than massive capital investment in establishing new brick-and-mortar branches. The few services that they flaunt in regards to scalability are a sham as they have no logistical or technological infrastructure to serve any significant number of patients outside of their physical hub. While they keep up this false facade of growth and success, they are cash starved and unable to pay their employees. Existing employees are paid in two instalments and former employees are still owed salaries. When asked, HR has no answer in regards to when they will be paid. Praava is an example of just another startup that is all fluff and no substance.

Pros

They have good benefits for employees and hybrid work culture helps with time loss.

Cons

The CEO is a micromanager, arrogant, and cannot be reasoned with. She does not take suggestions or insights from subject specialists, if the fact is somehow opposite of what she has in mind, she will not accept the fact and disrespect the specialist who has more experience on the matter. The CEO is also racist towards Bangladeshi nationals and biased towards US or other origin consultants. She often uses these foreign nationals who are much younger to belittle the local more experienced senior staff. This company cannot provide a fixed sitting arrangement for its core team members. The CEO does not value the staff, is prejudiced against those who try to guide her business to the right path, favors staff who are close to her, gives ill advice, and has been ripping off the company profits for years. The CEO pushes internal departments to fight each other, which is how the internal culture is full of backstabbing and blame-passing. Because the CEO does not listen to experts and has no direct experience with healthcare, with her poor leadership the company is losing money fast, there have been multiple layoffs, whole teams resigning, and irregular salaries. They lie about the technology behind the company's services. None of it exists. It is all manually done. I would not recommend anyone to join here as it offers no growth and only humiliation.
