Pros

Independent for the most part.

Cons

Poor pay, almost zero room to advance. Poor bonus program. Docks bonus pay for part usage when the copier NEEDS it. VERY STINGY with supplying customers toner when they actually do need it. They review insurance and health problems you may have and decline your health services if it affects their premium. Promises to move up in certain areas. They simply never come if you are stuck as a Field Engineer with a chance of 1 move up possibly the chances are nearly none. Also, if your parts usage is bad...good luck getting a raise at your yearly review. Wasted years of my life here. Oh, and they CHARGE you for company vehicles they supply with a limited amount of personal miles. If you go over the miles usage, you will be docked your pay per mile annually even though they already charge you monthly for the vehicle. If you damage any of their equipment by accident such as a laptop, you will be scolded and possibly have to pay 2 or 3 times as much to fix it so that they can turn around and SELL the USED equipment you once had.

Pros

ESOP/retirement- if you make it there 7 years.

Cons

Pay is terrible. Raises are a joke, you work your butt off and are lucky to get a 3% cost of living increase when inflation is consistently running at 9% or more. Management is terrible, they make you pay for their company car which has GPS tracking. Manager sits at desk and watches GPS all day and is not nice at all. Constantly overworked and they fail to keep promises.

Pros

Excellent retirement plan and health benefits. Nice and helpful co-workers.

Cons

Overworked. Do the job of 2 people. You need to constantly keep watch of your phone while trying to fix equipment in case service calls come in because you act as scheduler and secretary. Limited training and you are expected to work on plenty of equipment with no training or reference materials. Management is unorganized and overworked as well. The mindset now comes from two corporate individuals who just care about stock prices.
