Middle Management Lacking Skill Sets and Upper Management Absent
Pros
The pay starting out is often higher than other places starting out. They hire people with less experience or backgrounds that would not normally grant them jobs other places.
Cons
The people in the field and the administrative assistants do the majority of the work, with salaried middle managers often absent, working less than 40 hours, or "working from home". When providing feedback to upper management it often falls upon deaf ears or responded to with bias. Most of the company diversity also falls within the lower parts of the company. The company's work culture is lacking and often verges on toxic with high turnover. The harder you work, the more work you get with no recognition or pay increase creating an environment of "that's not my job" until it gets to the bottom.
