Pros

Great hours, owners are like a second set of parents, I can bring my kid to work sometimes and it's seen as an asset not a nuisance.

Cons

Paid on delivered is kinda annoying

Pros

This is a commission based job so there is opportunity to make money. One of the few modern furniture stores in town so if you’re into contemporary, you’ll like the products.

Cons

This is a retail job so patience is needed when dealing with the public. You get paid on delivered orders only - sometimes waiting up to 6 months. You’ll have to fight every month for your full commission. If you forget to dot an i or cross a t- it will come out of your paycheck. It’s a mom & pop shop- literally. But mom is a gossip and a mean girl. She’ll be your friend if you’re making them money. Pop is on his phone all day, doesn’t listen, doesn’t remember and will only be nice to you if you’re making him money. The turnover is heavy. You’ll be let go if your sales aren’t good enough but don’t even think about filing for unemployment. They have lawyers on speed dial and even though you paid into it, they will fight to win.
