Most of the people I working with were Intelligent, articulate and kind generous people. The commute was reasonable and the building comfortable and well maintained.
Cons
The personnel management was appalling. The latest team leader was out of his depth but made up for the shortfall by being aggressive with his staff, blaming them for the lack of improvement and over-running of projects. He labelled the entire department as incompetent without ever providing examples as to the inadequacy or direction as to how to improve. There was little training given...
The project management was poor. There is was little to no proper project planning and most of the engineering work suffered as a consequence. Being reactive to problems constantly does not make for a happy working environment.
There was very little actual electronic design required...It was mostly software and product management.
The lab was cramped and test equipment was in short supply.
Toxic environment, closed inner circle (no chance to be accepted), no incentives, no encouragement to progress, a lot of criticism, and treated with contempt.
