Forgot values, focus on numbers instead of people.

Pros

The people you work with are great and some of the direct managers are really nice and accommodating. They will pay to train you, but you have to sign a 2 year agreement or pay them back for your certification.

Cons

Over the past year, they've gone corporate. Once you move past direct managers, it's all a numbers game. The managers hate it, but they force you to sit down and explain what you do all day long. They want salaried employees to act like hourly employees, but get no overtime. Micromanaging has become the norm and the soul of the company is dead.

How is this allowed to continue?

Pros

There are many people who have good intentions. If we were allowed to focus on our jobs, things would be a lot better.

Cons

The cons far outweigh the pros unfortunately. I thought a lot about writing a review here. While I know it will not help my situation, I hope that it helps shed some light on what goes on here - for anyone who is considering joining this company. I wish I was warned. I do not know how a company which talks about values (the CEO personally talks about the values at "Boot Camp") allows a lot of the behavior that happens here. Since I first began working here, I wonder if any of the higher-ups are aware of what is going on. Companies are out to make profits which is OK but - why bother talking about values that do not exist? There seems to be three groups of employees: those who are qualified and work hard, those who are "connected" and work, and those who are "connected" and behave very badly because they know they are part of the "club." There are so many examples of unbelievably bad behavior. While I could give so many examples, each of them would give clues as to the department I work in. It has been made very clear to not give feedback about my "manager" who is part of the "club" or this department. Every company has some political factors but this is over the top. Many employees are afraid to speak up because their manager is connected to so-and-so. As many reviews here state, favoritism and personal connections (people who have little or no qualifications get and keep jobs despite serious negative results) are prevalent. There are major battle lines set up between departments and employees are the ones who suffer for it. The terms "throwing under the bus" and "making a case" are said a lot and seem to be acceptable. When something goes wrong or even is suspected of going wrong, many managers look at how they can blame another department. A lot of the issues are blamed on "growing pains." That may be true but a lot of what is going on can not be attributed to this.

YOU DO NOT WANT TO WORK HERE

Pros

Workday certification. Exposure to large number of tenants for issue resolution, etc.

Cons

AMS "leadership", favoritism, nepotism, utilization. This place USED TO BE a good place to work. When they got a $150 million dollar investment in 2015, they became about the numbers instead of the people. You are your hours. And they expect A LOT of hours. In essence, 8 hours per day needs to be accounted for. You have to track your time for every thing. And expectations equate to more to 10+ hours per day of time tracked - as meetings and PTO do not count toward those hours. Thinking about working here? Think again. Besides, they don't have any openings because their business has really slowed down.

Thank you for your feedback. We are committed to creating a comfortable environment in which people are treated like people so I am sorry your experience didn't mirror that. We value all feedback and we will always find ways to improve but I wanted to address your concern about our openings here. Sales exceeeded their Q2 goals and Q3 is looking great which means we are doing great in terms of business. Financials projects are on the horizon and we have a lot of business on the BPaaS side. Our Payroll Services and Benefits/COBRA teams are on the lookout for talent to support our new customers. Thank you again for your feedback.
