Pros

Mind Retail is very much a value-driven, purpose-focused organisation. It takes care to embed clear values and well-defined behaviours in how it works. Beyond that, it invests a great deal in its people - there are many training and development opportunities. It's a business where you can grow and contribute to a very worthwhile cause.

Cons

None spring immediately to mind. A lot is expected of you. But this, I think, is only a con if you let it be. It's about perspective. Charities operate with limited resources. Don't expect to sit back and do nothing.

Pros

- You can largely run the shop in the way you think will benefit everyone and make money for the charity. - Most tasks (sorting donations, steaming, stock preparation and dressing the shop )are a real pleasure and never boring). -You meet lots of nice people and can build a good team of volunteers of your own.

Cons

You are responsible for aging buildings with significant issues that the Company has no funds to repair. Remote Head Office Team who defer everything to Regional Managers. Little support and no policy on how to deal with staffing problems within shop teams. - Weak regional management support (sink or swim if you either have staffing or structural problems).
