Toxic Workplace

Pros

Fully Remote Unlimited PTO Most of the entry/mid-mid level employees are great to work with

Cons

Constantly shifting goalposts Aggressive/rude Directors and VPs Managers expect us to take initiative and make our own way but also micromanage Managers take credit for successes but make sure lower-level employees take the blame for all mistakes No COL raises Maternity/Paternity leave was cut from 8 weeks to 2 weeks in the time I was there. A culture of throwing people under the bus They keep employees siloed, so no one knows what's going on

Outpaced by their own growth

Pros

I worked at this company for years, starting when they were much smaller. Pre-pandemic and pre-extreme growth, the culture was great and I felt that I was treated well and paid fine.

Cons

Management was manipulative, aggressive, accusatory, and just straight up mean and disrespectful. On multiple occasions I was not only asked but expected to pull all-nighters to meet deadlines that other employees had missed (that were perhaps unreasonable deadlines in the first place.) As the company grew, each employee mattered less and less, and I was treated horribly. I've had a lot of different jobs over my life and every job has it's pros and cons - no company is perfect. But having watched this company descend into a place that treats its employees so horribly... I cannot recommend.

Toxic management and rude clients

Pros

The work was pretty neat, getting to work with high-profile content creators, but the cons mostly outweighed any of the positives.

Cons

I regretfully spent several months at this company, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The toxic work environment was primarily fueled by a manager who consistently took credit for my work, undermined my efforts, and engaged in bullying behavior. This manager not only failed to provide any guidance or direction but actively hindered my growth and progress while tearing me down simultaneously. It was clear that the company's leadership turned a blind eye to the manager's behavior, allowing this toxic atmosphere to persist. The lack of accountability and support from higher-ups only exacerbated the problem. Instead of fostering a collaborative environment, the company seemed to reward office politics and manipulation. Feedback was a one-way street. Constructive criticism was discouraged, and any attempt to voice concerns is met with defensiveness and hostility. It's a clear indication that the company values maintaining appearances over real growth and development. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to think twice. The negative impact on my mental and emotional well-being far outweighed any potential professional growth. If you value your self-esteem and mental health, look elsewhere for a workplace that genuinely supports and appreciates its employees. I had to go to THERAPY after quitting, and I know that I was not the only one who sought professional help after leaving.
