Pros
Hi! I’m a BCBA and current team member at LEEP/QLA and I wanted to share a little bit about why I genuinely love working here, because if you're looking for a place where your work truly matters and your creativity is valued, this is the right fit for you!
What makes LEEP special is our multidisciplinary team. I get to collaborate every day with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, and other BCBAs. We work together to build individualized programs that meet kids where they are, pulling from each of our areas of expertise. I’ve learned so much from being part of this team and I’m constantly inspired by the dedication and knowledge of my coworkers.
We follow an NDBI (Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention) model, which means our therapy is child-led, play-based, and naturally integrated into daily life. It’s not about drilling skills at a table but instead it's about connecting with kids in ways that are fun, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate. Whether that’s on the playground, during pretend play, or out in the community, we’re always finding creative ways to help our kids grow.
As a BCBA at LEEP/QLA one of my favorite parts of the job is the flexibility to write goals and create individualized treatment plans to design sessions that are truly fun for the kids. We’re encouraged to think outside the box and come up with ideas that keep therapy fresh and engaging. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the progress that comes from that kind of genuine connection.
We serve a wide age range with kids from 3 to 16, which keeps things interesting and allows us to grow alongside the children we support. Summers at LEEP/QLA? They're the best. We go on field trips, get out into the community, and really make the most of those months and get outdoors. It doesn’t feel like typical therapy it feels like helping kids learn and thrive in real-life settings.
The staff here are some of the most dedicated and supportive groups I’ve worked with. It’s a place where people lift each other up, share ideas, and truly care about the work we’re doing. If you’re looking for a team that feels more like a community and a job that feels way more fun I can’t recommend LEEP/QLA enough.
If you’re interested in joining us, we’d love to hear from you.
Cons
Not being able to provide in home services to see the work transition into multiple environments or to provide direct parent training in their home. There is no flexibility in hours, workable hours are 8-4 with limited opportunity for after school hour.
