This company was formed based on the "core" people from where they came. It was created, not cause of the portfolio/technology that came with them, but through the dedication, hard work and talent of each person. We were told, "We didn't purchase this group from XXXX we invested in the people." That echoed throughout the beginning and it was a great feeling that company would take a chance on the people that made this group.
Due to an apparent over sight, the statement above lost all meaning & ton of jobs were lost. A re-organization structure was put in place and many positions eliminated.
The situation could have definitely been handled better and the cold shoulder many received after you got "the call", definitely left bad taste in some peoples mouth.
From a Business stand point, I understand why some of the decisions were made, however it could have been handled better.
