Having people that you may not work alongside or interact with every day yet take note of you as a person and take the time to ask how your family is makes you feel that you are more than just someone filling a position. -Being able to have input taken in to account and incorporated into the day to day and overall operations is something that makes this company stand out from the larger senior living companies. There is more of an open mindset to practical ideas and input to make the day to day tasks more efficient and easier to manage carrying out because there aren’t as many “hoops” to jump through. This not only makes you feel as though your ideas are valued, but also that you aren’t just carrying out marching orders that are a one way direction that trickle from the home office downward. -Added positions to the regional team demonstrate that there is added supports available at the community level and also provides opportunities for future career growth. -The residents are the focus and are the core of how decisions are made. Cons
While it’s not a con, having previous experience in your role and being confident and proficient at the tasks related to carrying them out creates the foundation of success. Support, guidance and hands on support is offered as well as company specific training, but having prior experience allows for you to be able to manage the tasks while maintaining a work/personal life balance.
