Good experience, but typical small business problems

Pros
It was a great place to gain experience and work on a variety of projects. We had a cool office and most people working there were nice and a pleasure to work with.
Cons
Like a lot of small businesses, there were financial struggles at different times with seemingly a feast or famine dynamic. There wasn't a clear hierarchy, which led to decision making issues. Also, without a real HR department, it was clearly a place only truly comfortable for white men.
