Pros

Games room and relaxed attitude on Friday afternoons.

Cons

I almost don’t know where to start with how bad this company was to work for. The processes they have in place for their projects was rarely followed. They claim to follow an agile project management style but projects are almost exclusively completed following a waterfall type format. Every project, scope creep is a problem and is rarely addressed. Your success is measured by your billable hour percentage, but you are constantly told to do unbillable tasks to keep project budget down requiring you to work overtime to avoid a tongue lashing. They claim to have flexible hours but I got told off for coming in at 10am more than once even though there are many other more senior people who come in later. They lie to clients faces promising none of the work is being outsourced but then outsource a lot of programming work to Vietnam. I was asked to sit in on a client meeting and PRETEND to be the developer so I could take the blame for project mistakes because the team in Vietnam was screwing up so bad. I refused and was reprimanded. The work done in Vietnam is obviously very bad and almost always results in code having to be re-written in house. They over promise and under deliver on most projects to make sales. As an example they will sell a project promising it can be done in a month. But then after a month the project has come back a total mess from Vietnam and needs another 3 weeks of in-house dev time to fix and the clients are unhappy. I felt constantly on edge at this job as though I would be let go any minute for issues that were a direct result of lack of leadership and organization. The programming department was a mess, no leadership, no code reviews, outdated practices, no collaboration and no sense of community or team. The pay is bad, the benefits are mediocre, stay away at all costs.
