Most toxic work culture ever

Pros

PTO and unlimited sick days but really nothing much good to say

Cons

So many problems at this company but just like all the reviews have said, the work culture is SUPER toxic. The upper management doesn’t care about your growth nor do they value you as an employee. They will work you until you burn out completely and then dispose you. Management has no idea what they are doing and there is absolutely no room for growth here. Everyone is wearing a mask at this company and will lie. They have nor will they ever value their employees for all the work they do and will just dispose you like nothing. They treat their employees absolutely terribly. I highly DO not recommend working here.

We take all feedback seriously and understand that experiences at a growing company can differ from person to person. While this review doesn’t reflect what we consistently hear from most of our team, we know that strong opinions often come from people who care deeply about their experience, and there’s always room to improve. We remain focused on building a respectful, growth-oriented culture where people feel supported, valued, and able to grow.

Toxic workplace

Pros

Remote work and "unlimited PTO"

Cons

The culture is deliberately engineered to grind you down while setting you up to fail. Performance reviews are tied to an absurd colour system—purple being the highest rating, a level unattainable by basically everyone. This impossible standard is then conveniently used to justify regular firings. Once you get to know the CEO and management, it becomes painfully clear why everything feels so dysfunctional. Turnover is high, and talented employees routinely jump ship for better opportunities elsewhere. The irony is this company operates in the workforce development sector—yet it treats its own employees like they're disposable.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We never want anyone on our team to feel unsupported. It looks like this note was left by a current employee. We’d love to talk in person if that’s something you’re open to, whether that’s with your manager, our People & Culture lead, or the CEO directly. If you prefer an anonymous forum, you could also use our monthly surveys to leave more detailed feedback around your specific frustrations. Growth, fairness, and respect are values we care deeply about, and we’re committed to making sure they are felt consistently across the team. Your input helps us continue working toward that.

Pros

The projects can occasionally be engaging and intellectually stimulating, and colleagues tend to be approachable on a surface level. The unlimited PTO policy is a genuine perk for those who actively utilize it, though in practice, most employees seem to take no more than 15 days annually

Cons

The company culture is deeply toxic, largely driven by the CEO's inability to tolerate any form of constructive feedback. He frequently lashes out at employees, assigning arbitrary tasks that lead nowhere and waste valuable time and resources. This authoritarian style not only stifles innovation but also creates an environment of fear and resentment, where open dialogue is punished rather than encouraged.Retention of senior leadership is abysmal, with most executives lasting less than a year before departing— a clear sign of instability at the top. The product's market fit is fundamentally flawed and illogical, yet the CEO's ego prevents any meaningful pivot or reassessment. Workplace policies are erratic and inconsistently applied, shifting without notice or rationale, which erodes trust and morale.Once you peel back the initial friendliness, interpersonal dynamics reveal a web of cynicism and backbiting; colleagues often make snide, undermining comments about one another. The "startup" label is weaponized as an excuse for unprofessional, rude, and outright disrespectful behavior, allowing poor conduct to go unchecked.Career advancement is nonexistent—employees languish in the same roles for years while the company perpetually hunts for external senior talent, ignoring internal potential. The CEO's micromanagement and favoritism further exacerbate this, rewarding loyalty over merit and leaving talented individuals frustrated and disengaged.I strongly advise against joining FutureFit.
