I worked at Framestore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The amenities are well managed. There is fruits/food in the studio. Studio are very well taken care of.

    Cons

it feels like they are very open, but once you point out something bad, they will turn around and blame you.
Middle management can be rude to artists and get no repercussions.
Montreal studio don't get good sequences as in london... so beware.

    Advice to Management

I don't know if any higher managements are reading this. But i think many artists voiced out their complains, but once they voiced out any complaints against anybody in the middle management, they seemed to get the bad end of the stick.
I don't know if HR or anyone in the middle management is screening the complaints on purpose to prevent this from reaching the higher management.
IF you truly want the truth, Do a 360 reviews on all your supervisors, you will find out the problem.

I worked at Framestore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Breakfast
    Great projects
    Mail service
    Overtime after 40h
    Benefits- but bare minimum
    BIXI discount
Not to much overtime until delivery
    Flex hours( 8-5 or 9-6)

    Cons

    Cliquey
    New management- two faced
    Harassment
    Political games
    Appraisal months late
Have to get in with the right group to stay
    Studio environment grey and sad
    People don’t want to socialize
Unethically get people to quit or fired
    Doesn’t follow labour laws
    HR not on your side
    Watch your back

    Advice to Management

Start investing in artists by training and by their happiness. Stop treating them like machines instead of humans. Teach supervisors and leaders how to actually lead and how to lift up artists to their full potential instead of tearing them down. Stop putting insecure supervisors in charge that harass artists and don’t know how to talk to people. Stop hiring friends who are not qualified. Take a psychology class on how to treat people and what being a leader means. Stop putting people in positions their not ready for.

Framestore is a great employer, they take care of their employees.
    Great benefits and interesting projects.
Overall they try to have a good work/life balance.

Some departments are very fraternal. Difficult to break the ice.
Company positions herself more as a "printshop" then a creative studio.

I have been working at Framestore full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great supervision, open minded people, top notch pipeline that works like a clock.
Constant feeling that they are taking care of their people. Almost no overtime.

    Cons

A bit more London spirit wouldn't hurt. Office could be a bit more pleasant place, design wise, its just a bit to grey for my taste.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on doing amazing work.
