Pros

The product is fun, it's a dating app after all. The pay is high, really good and lax benefits (unlimited PTO, hefty spending account). Fully remote with a worldwide team.

Cons

It's really easy to get managed out here. My role was eliminated after almost a year of working there after it was changed multiple times during my tenure. Despite meeting all of the expectations of my role changes and reviewing my performance regularly with my direct manager, my role was eliminated. I did have the feeling that the leadership plays their favorites and if you're not one of them or one of the "original" Feelders, it's easy to get let go. The way I was let go was super shady- I had a "work session" booked with the manager of my manager and got on the call to see that HR was there as well. All in all it's a high tension, high pressure place to work. Teams priorities' constantly conflict one another. People are vocal about their discontent with leadership in public channels and it's not addressed. As many have pointed out, Feeld prides itself on being "diverse" yet the leadership team, newly appointed within the last 1-2 years, is all CIS-het white men. People who suddenly disappear from Slack without anyone knowing why are typically people of colour.

Pros

Feeld offers good pay and benefits, the non-management people are lovely and some of the greatest most progressive people I've worked with (but they are being replaced by cheaper outsourced workers quickly).

Cons

In the last year or so Feeld got a completely new management team (other than the CEO), all of which are white middle-age straight men, which is strange for a progressive queer-focussed sex-positive app like Feeld. This new management team also comes from big corporations, and it shows. Feeld is rapidly loosing all their humanity and values, instead focussing on whatever conventional companies do to make as much money as possible. Shortly, Feeld has their values, until they come in the way of their goals. And their goals are now making money above everything else.

Pros

They used to pay well. That's going away too.

Cons

Unethical management that does not run on principles but on whims. They're making money for the industry they're in, otherwise, they don't know a thing about business. The company is run on a personal agenda. The entire management makes your life difficult by not knowing how to do their job of setting goals and designing projects that lead to actual progress. It is understandable that the management (just like everyone else) is in the company to fill their pockets and leave. The fake 'positivity' spread throughout the company and outside is their way of guarding their delusional ways. The HR and Ops teams were the worst professionals I ever encountered in my decade's worth of experience. They can ask you to leave any day, sack your ESOPs (which is a joke) and even use employees as scapegoats for their unethical ways of handling customer data. It is risky, be careful. I know of at least 8-9 people who were just asked to leave one fine day.
