Pros

Eplexity had some true potential. Partners, investors, and more had solid reasons to invest. But I don't think the company will ever make it past its current state until the company as a whole picks a direction and shows support for its employees. Unlimited PTO seems to be truly a thing here. I've seen a few people take real vacation time off without issue. Also good about last-minute time off or mental health days. The teams are supportive for the most part of each other, even if management seems out of touch with workloads. There are many people that are willing to take 15 minutes they probably don't have to step you through any issue you might be stuck on. Recently uptick of really smart people over the last year is helping the company look far better.

Cons

At its core, this is a family-run business, and you can tell. This creates an inherent mistrust for those who find out. It's hard to believe anything said to HR can reasonably stay within HR. 40 hours a week is just a suggestion (contrary to what the business tells everyone), and people will practically need to work 60, 70, and 80 hours a week to get work done. There is no reward for this extra effort either. There is the startup mentality to say, "we know how to do that" and then learn what is needed to "fake it till you make it". Often the joke is "building the plane while in the air" will be heard on internal calls. It happens way more than it should and the knowledge gap is bad. Worse, more savvy clients and partners seem to know this "truth" about Eplexity and are starting to call us out on it. The already overworked Sr and Principals, and perpetually understaffed managed services team lack resources/time to train new employees. This in effect places the burden on new employees to figure it out. You have a managed services product that was going to be a gamechanger, but you just broke up the team building it because the work required to get it done is also in addition to the expected 40+ hour workload and no one was putting effort into it. Worse, I don't think you knew why no one was working harder. Conclusion: There are many great ideas for a better company, but sadly, none keep the interest of the CEO for long.

Pros

Eplexity is a great company to work for, the benefits are good, all the people I work with are great. People that come into the company have to know their stuff; you can't fake it because of its size. I have seen engineers come in, sale themself as able to do the work and fall short. Eplexity is leading in new tech and business solutions for cloud and not everyone can keep up. The pay is great and every educational training I have asked for I have received paid for.

Cons

typical medium size business, though I don't see that as a con.
