Pros

Totally agree with the other reviewer. There are no positives. They hire young students and take advantage of their lack of knowledge

Cons

Complete waste of two weeks of my life. So glad I got out of there as fast as possible. The title and job description I applied for was completely different then what I came into. The position I applied for was a full-time management position, ended up being a part-time poorly paid in store sales position. They also didn't tell me "training" would be 1 hour a day. The way I was described the pay structure was also a lot different then it ended up being. Its just a minimum wage job and if you are lucky to have an amazing shift you might make a dollar or two more an hour. Once I realized how low everyone was making I called the owner to let her know I was not returning and she did not return my phone call. Also, I was never paid for the two "training" weeks.

Worst place I have ever worked

Pros

Met some good people here.

Cons

The whole company treats people like numbers. I made a stupid mistake to quit my actual full time job to work a "full time" job here. You start off with 4 hours a week and work your way up (if you can meet their quota) and if you cannot, they let you go immediately. I don't understand how constant recruiting is cheaper and less time consuming than taking the time to train someone. Constantly new candidates being called in for an interview. Every morning they have a meeting where they repeat cliche quotes and blast clubby music which is unprofessional in my opinion. Keep in mind that this a SALES job. It does not matter what position you apply for (manager, specialist, coordinator) it is the SAME position. You are selling items at Canadian Tire. The building is dirty (especially the bathroom) and old. To be "promoted", all you get is a certificate and more responsibility and no pay increase.I have met some really motivated and wonderful people here but it is too bad that they are brainwashed. Please, to those who have a full time job, do not leave it to go here. For others who are desperate for a job, I still would not recommend it. Save your time and effort. They take advantage of students and tell you a bunch of false information to make the job seem great, and it is not. No benefits. No trust in employees.

Pros

none I would give a negative rating if possible. Only hires young students to take advantage of them

Cons

- Has some extravagant title when applying, however when you jump through the three interview process, you are really just a sales representative - promises full time, however I was there over a month and never received more than 5 hours - pays incorrectly and does not correct your pay, claim in contract you signed it states you only get paid for an hour a day for training - expects you to do free work so you can "advance your career and grow your own business"
